The KingâVictoria Transit Hub is a major multi-modal transportation project designed to become the primary mobility gateway for KitchenerâWaterloo. Developed for Metrolinx and the Region of Waterloo, the project unifies regional train, light rail, bus, and active-transportation networks within one intuitive, highly connected public space. The architectural vision centres on a light, sculptural canopy and an open plaza that guide movement naturally while creating a welcoming civic landmark. The design emphasizes accessibility, clear circulation, and strong integration with the surrounding urban fabric.
Sustainability, daylighting, and durable materials shape a hub that is efficient, resilient, and built for long-term community use. Beyond transit, the hub introduces opportunities for retail activation and public gathering spaces, supporting downtown revitalization and enhancing the cityâs regional connectivity.
